Ordering was very easy on line and I am looking forward to getting my new mower however apart from an order conformation have heard nothing from them, which is a bit concerting, when you have paid a lot of money. I emailed them to get an ETA for delivery and was told it takes between 1-4 days and I would get a dispatch and tracking email. These times scales have now passed and despite a follow up email t them I haven't heard anything back from them so still no mower

Terrible customer service. They sent out the wrong parts. After 3 or 4 emails with photos i finally got a response saying they are the rite parts. When I Google the part number they clearly say they are for a totally different engine. After looking at there reply. I've clearly shown them that the part number are wrong on the parts. And they still want Me to pay to send back after there error

I have tried calling and emailing this shop several times however I am struggling to get past the can you send us pictures of the damaged parts’ email which I responded to and sent them pictures but after that no one gets back to me.it has been over a month u have no mower no refund and no response.will not be using this company again.

Chose this supplier because it stated that 5 were available. Had an email saying mower was being delivered via DX Freight. Had an email next day saying that mower would not be in stock for another 4 weeks and would I like to wait or have a refund . Refund requested ,let's see how long that takes .

Ordered a lawn mower to find it wasn’t in stock and no idea how long I would wait for delivery. At the same time ordered a strimmer, that got returned back to them, did eventually get it, but it took several weeks to arrive Communication was bad at best, no a great experience

Took my money despite item not in stock, nearly 3 weeks ago, dont reply to emails or return calls. Having to chase them now. Will be reporting to trading standards soon if not resolved.

Ordered my mountfield sp53h from mowers direct after looking online and seeing the price I should have known better, too good to be true if I had read the reviews first no way would I have bought from this company. After one week I began to chase them up was told the courier was picking it up asked who the courier was and a tracking number the guy couldn't tell me the tracking number and will get onto them waited until following day read the reviews at which point I began to worry about my £400 luckily I used my credit card. When I rang again I asked him why I had not received the tracking number if the courier had it again was fobbed of by oh I will get onto them and get back to you within the hour waited two hours then rang again this time spoke to a female colleague who told me he was busy on the phone and that he would phone back I knew at this point there was no mower and I demanded my money back I was told to send an email to that effect. The email was short if I didn't receive my money back within 3 working days I would instruct the credit card company to do a Section 75 to recover the money. The email back was prompt your refund is being processed I received the money back within one working day and that is the reason why I actually gave 1 star

Ruined Christmas Surprise!

I purchased a leaf blower as a surprise for my other half's Christmas present, it wasn't cheap at just under £250. It arrived in its own branded box, my other half opened the door to the delivery guy and that was his Christmas surprise over with, as it was plastered all over the box exactly what it was. I contacted Mowers direct and all I got back was... "Well you didn't calaborate with us to say it was a gift!" Firstly why would I? I've never had any online purchase turn up in its original box, usually the bare minimum is that they come out in a bag, especially over winter in the damp and secondly, it's December, are you supposed to notify every single online purchase that you make that its a gift? Would I buy from these guys again, sadly not as their response to my email was very poor indeed.

Mind boggling and awful experience

A truly mind boggling and awful purchase experience. I ordered and paid for an item that never arrived. I waited for the item for over a week then contacted Online Mowers (Cheltenham Mowers Limited) who suggested the order had been delayed due to a system error but had been posted that day. Again nothing arrived. After 2 weeks (during which I sent numerous emails requesting the item, then a refund that Online Mowers completely ignored) I had to open a Paypal Money back claim to recover my costs. It felt like Chelternham Mowers Limited were not at all concerned that they had taken my money and that they chose not to reply to my requests for assistance with the missing item. I'll certainly never shop from them again and would advise others to avoid the company like the plague.

Customer care is shocking, I emailed and called a number of times try to find out where my mower was, The email received had a subject line saying order dispatched and I should expect to receive my item in 4-5 working days, when it didn’t arrive I emailed and got no answer and then called and was promised a call back that didn’t come, I called again and was told my mower was not in stock and it would be another 3weeks. If I hadn’t chased it up I would never have known any of this. The mower finally arrived after 4weeks. Great product just awful customer service.

Competitive price but very slow delivery and lack of status updates

Almost 4 weeks from order to eventual delivery due to a catalogue of issues including 'damaged in transit', tracking number system malfunction, missed carrier SLA and poor customer service/communication. Required 4-5 phonecalls to establish latest situation on an ongoing basis and was then finally told to speak to the carrier direct when the item had shipped and the 48 hour delivery SLA had been missed (eventually by 4 days).

Unprofessional and disgraceful

Had to chase order for a second time to be eventually told it was out for delivery. No email, call or text to let me know. Managed to get a family member to rush home for the delivery but nothing arrived. Following day I called to find out the product was delivered but to a different house number in a completely different street. I asked for a refund and I'm still waiting 7 days later! What a joke, disgraceful service!

Woefully poor service - AVOID

I ordered a drive belt from Mowers on line. The belt was wrong - too small. The belt was indicated that it would. These things happen and I’m not griping about that. However, trying to get a refund is a challenge. First, you can’t call mowers on line to talk about parts. Parts can only be ordered via email. I emailed on a Saturday, 3 days later still no reply. I tried to call the service line. Held in a queue which wasn’t getting smaller so hung up. I then emailed to return the belt. The returns process necessitates that a returns number has to sent via email in order to start the process. To date, no returns email has been received. As a last resort I called the mower sales line. I was 3rd in the queue, then 2nd and then 1st at which point the line stared to ring. After nearly 6 minutes I hung up. The after sales service is truly shocking and shameful. Perspective buyers beware. Do yourselves a favour and spend your money elsewhere.

Atco mower

Ordered on 08/03/2024 website said 2 in stock and we would receive within 4 working days. Phoned them on 15/03/2024 was told they had meant to call but hadn't they hadn't got any Atco mowers but would send an equivalent by 20/03/2024. Phoned them on 22/03/2024 and was told it would be dispatched that day and we would receive on 25th or the 26th. Phoned them on 25/03/2024 to make sure it had been dispatched. Was told it hadn't been dispatched but would be that day and we would receive the same day. Phoned them on 26/03/2024 was told we would definitely receive that day. Needless to say it didn't arrive. Mower was finely delivered on 27/03/2024 but the driver just left it on the drive in the rain without knocking the door. Mower seems ok but the service was terrible.

The delivery was awful, basically I spent a whole day from morning till afternoon waiting for the two hourly update on delivery which never arrived. The next day I received an update and delivery was made at eleven am. The mower was on a horrific pallet which the driver was unable to help me with. It took over an hour to cut away the pallet to be able to manoeuvre the mower onto the ground. The mower came with an instruction manual but sadly the whole experience has put a dampener onto what should have been an exciting event especially as it’s twenty years since it’s predecessor was delivered and been in use. On hindsight I should have chosen white glove delivery which I feel would have been more appropriate for my circumstances.

Scratches on a new lawn mower

The Mountfield mower was delivered with several scratches, when I reported this I was asked ‘which panels are damaged’, we will send replacements - not ‘please return the mower and we will rectify’. Mowers-on-line blamed the courier, yet there were no marks on the packaging and the positions of the scratches led me to believe that they were not due to movement in transit. I was told that all machines were given a PDI before dispatch - this I very much doubt, as the damage was clearly visible. Finally, there was a grey moulding in the box with the mower, an image of which was in the instructions, but no information as to what it was or if it had to be fitted, then where and how to fit it.
