An absolute nightmare returning anything. Used to purchase regularly from Alpine Trek and had thought they were a UK company but recently bought some over trousers for my partner for her Christmas. They were a little small so returned them and ordered two other pairs to try. I then had to chase the refund for the first pair I’d returned and customer service replies weren’t exactly helpful, I was then concerned about returning the second pair as I was struggling to get a refund for the first return. Everything was having to go through customs before refunds were issued. Has put me off purchasing again, which is a pitty.

Taken my money and not delivered goods
I made an order on 31st Aug (they claimed a 1-2 day delivery and it is now the 13th Aug and I still have had no delivery) I have asked for a refund 3 times and have yet to see a penny. The parcel seems to be lost by Evri but they still haven't given me my money back. Other companies have been quick to refund folk with the whole Evri debacle on Skye but Alpine Trek have not issued me with a refund yet. Terrible customer service. My fear is I will have to take this to a small claims court because their customer service is so bad.

Very very poor. My website order has been stuck on processing for days and days. When I called the telephone support - as many many other people have stated - they were rude, unprofessional, dismissive and unhelpful. At present I have been given two conflicting reasons as to the delay. I'm not sure if this is deliberate dishonesty or just incompetence. Either way, Alpine Trek have my money and there's no sign of when I will get my product. I also don't trust the endless run of 5 star reviews. Something isn't right with this company. AVOID AVOID AVOID.

I bought a pair of Hanwag boots which…
I bought a pair of Hanwag - Banks StraightFit Extra GTX - Walking boots which are advertised as wide toe box fitting, they are really not wide if anything less so than Meindle comfort fit. How do you test them when you have to wear them, £220 wasted money, great boots if you don't have a wide fit requirement. Sorry to be negative, but it also took a long time to receive as well. If only I could find this boot in a wide fit Toe Box area. Suggestions gratefully received!

The Scarpa walking shoes I bought are excellent and came relatively quickly (within 5 business days). The price wasn't the lowest I found, but Alpine Trek had my size and the exact colour I was after. My only complaint was that they use the notoriously unreliable Evri as their courier, though in this one instance it all worked out.

Treking with my daughter
I purchased a pair of LA Sportivtiva GTX 4 for my daughter. I have a couple of pairs, and I highly recommend them as a good, comfy shoe out of the box. ALPINETREK provided low-hassle services, including a good selection of footwear on their website, while also managing my expectations via updates and parcel tracking.

alpine trek are awesome. Best prices. Lots of choices. Great customer service. BUT they use Evri. Evri are the lowest form of pond life. They are a cancer on the superbly fit body that is alpinetrek.
Evri lie, they are inept, they are deceitful and useless. It’ll be five stars when they switch courier.
